Managing Conflict

It may be the most destructive vice of the leader: avoiding or mismanaging conflict. Everyone can see it, everyone knows it’s a problem, yet the leader doesn’t address it appropriately. As a result, bad behaviors continue and good employees leave or disengage.

Success is a lousy teacher

Don’t count on past success to propel you forward. Success is a lousy teacher and can easily lead to complacency – “I’ve arrived”. Instead, be intentional about your choices, vision, values, and goals to keep the momentum – “Here’s where I’m headed”.
